Nikkah Photography & Videography in London
Editorial photography and cinematic film for the nikkah — the Islamic marriage ceremony and contract, captured with the calm and reverence it deserves.
Check your dateThe nikkah is the Islamic marriage ceremony and contract — the moment a couple is formally married in the eyes of their faith and family. It can be an intimate gathering at home or the mosque, or a larger occasion held alongside the walima, but the heart of it is always the same: the offer and acceptance, the signing of the contract, the du'a, and the quiet exchange of glances between two families becoming one. It's a ceremony built on meaning rather than spectacle, and it deserves to be photographed that way.
We approach the nikkah with the same respect we'd want shown at our own family's ceremony — working quietly from the edges of the room, reading when to step forward for the signing or the rings and when to simply let the moment happen undisturbed. Many nikkahs include separate gatherings for men and women, and we plan our coverage around that from the outset, arranging a female photographer where it's needed so every part of the ceremony is captured comfortably. Photography and film run together, so the formality of the contract and the warmth of the room both come through in the final edit.

Nikkah photography FAQs
How long does nikkah coverage usually take?
Most nikkahs need 2–4 hours of coverage, depending on whether it's a standalone ceremony or part of a larger wedding day. We'll talk through your running order in advance so coverage starts before guests arrive and continues through photos afterwards.
Do you offer female photographers for the nikkah?
Yes — a female photographer can be arranged for women-only gatherings or simply by preference. Let us know when you enquire so we can confirm availability for your date.
Can you photograph a nikkah held at a mosque?
Yes — we regularly cover nikkahs at mosques as well as at home and at venues, and we're mindful of etiquette, dress and quiet moments throughout. Let us know the venue when you enquire and we'll plan coverage around it.
How soon will we get our nikkah photos and film?
You'll receive sneak-peek edits within days of your ceremony. Full galleries are typically delivered within around two months, with your finished film following within around six months — exact timelines are confirmed in your booking.
